About the school

H.G. (L. L.) Geevarghese Mar Philoxenose Thirumeni, Metropolitan of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church founded the school in 1948. The school is a Government Aided Educational Institution with minority rights. It is a member of the Catholicate and M.D Schools Corporate Management of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.

The school was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School on the 1st of August 2000 by the Govt.of Kerala with two Science batches and one Commerce batch with 50 students in each batch. The school has contributed many eminent personalities to the society. Of these, H.G.Thomas Matr Athanasios, Metropolitan of Chengannur Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, deserves special mention. His Grace is a great educationalist and reformer.
